My name is Gordon Williams, I live in west central Indiana and I have been a self-employed tile contractor since April 1987. Advances in the technology of setting and grouting ceramic, porcelain, glass and stone in the last 30+ years have transformed the tile industry. Large bodied tiles on floors and walls are pretty much the norm today. Large format tiles on walls have produced a challenge to contractors when customers have wanted to incorporate a decorative accent stripe. Extra time in setting has been the issue all contractors have had to deal with, simply because of the addition of an accent.
The Adjustable Tile Spacer
We all have our "go to", when it comes to giving the customer what they want. We all want to do it in the shortest time possible and no-one wants to sacrifice quality in their finished product. Using Inlay Spacer, a decorative accent can be installed at the same time as the rest of the tile. No need to stop at the accent and wait over night to finish setting tile the next day. No need to spend hundreds of dollars a year and waste time on a job manufacturing a spacer for each accent. Inlay Spacer is adjustable, reusable and even if they are used daily, can last for years.
A kit consists of 12 spacers, enough to tile a 3 x 5 shower using 12" x 12" tile or larger.
